The 2008 George Washington Tournament The 2008 George Washington Tournament (GWT) will be held May 17th & 18th at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA. The George Washington Tournament is named after the George Washington Trophy, which was donated to the Seattle Soccer League (as the GSSL was known by then) by one George Parsons in 1927. It is a sterling silver trophy, about 30" high and weighing perhaps twenty pounds. The base, replaced recently to repair damage, carries the names of the GWT winners in each division from each year. The trophy is kept at the GSSL office. Please click here to download the 2008 GWT team registration application
