Things
you may not know about me...
I grew up in Seattle playing about every sport except Soccer. I was coaching the kids in baseball when I was asked to coach a soccer team of 5-6 year old boys. I knew nothing about soccer at that time. Very few people in Seattle did. We got Cliff McGrath to teach some of us local coaches how to coach and play the game of soccer. We entered the team as The Thorns in the over 30 division. I renamed the team the Magnolia Bluffers and was the manager for many years. I somehow got on the Board over 26 years ago, not sure just when and how that happened. My Team and The league is like family. So much to say, so little space. Love the game.
My main objectives as a GSSL Board member are the
financial integrity and soundness of the GSSL, efficient operating
procedures and the best possible service for the soccer teams and
players. Supporting the President and the staff in effectively managing
and scheduling about 176 teams and 3,100 soccer matches each year is
another important duty of each Board member.
Chris has been involved in soccer for most of his life, including
Western Washington University, University of Washington, and various
teams in the local area since the 70's. Currently player/co-manager of
the FTI O-40 team and member of GSSL board since the mid 90's. My
current position within the board is Judiciary chair.

GSSL participant since 1996 as either a Player, Team Manager and/or a Referee. Eastside resident; married with two boys and a bunch of pets. Coach of the boys' teams in progression --U6, U7, U8, U?. Passionate for safe, competitive soccer. If I didn't love being an Investment advisor at Oppenheimer & Co., my career would be in the soccer community.

I have a passion for the world’s game of futbol. I have played almost 50 years in the Seattle area and coached almost 40 years. I manage KSA which is one of the longest standing teams in GSSL. On the professional side I am a retired business leader and I continue to volunteer in community activities. My goal on the board is to build on sportsmanship and the sharing of cultures from all around the world.
Dr.
Parker began his involvement in soccer by organizing and managing the
Red Tide, a team that has been with the League almost 30 years now.
He also served for several years as a GSSL referee. He was
first elected to the GSSL Board of Directors in 1982, and is its
longest-serving Board member. His other involvements with the
beautiful game include terms as president of the Washington State Soccer
Association, the Western Regional Director of the US Amateur Soccer
Association and a member of the National Board of Directors of the US
Soccer Federation. He is married to Anita, current president
of the GSSL.
Life
is in session....let's live in it, enjoy making the most out of
it....eat, love, pray ...play football and spending time with friends is
the added bonus we have in serving the GSSL.
C.Y. Tin is a lifelong fan and player; he has been
involved with the GSSL since 1987 either as a player, manager, and
referee. For the past 7 years he's also coached a boy's youth
team. He worked at a local exporting company for the past 33 years
and enjoys their present location, across from Starfire where he can
look at soccer fields all day long.
